Medusa - Soul Eater
Medusa, from the series Soul Eater. I originally picked this character due to her being a complete bad ass/bitch and everyone loves that. After all, bad guys really are the best. This costume was a crazy rush job. I literally walked two miles the morning of Saturday Metrocon '08 to get it done. I needed some thread and other things from a store in order to finish it. However, with the help of Adrian and our friend Ashley the costume was finished in time to wear.My favorite part, as well as the hardest part was the wig. She has such unique hair; twisted and long in the front, short and spiked in the back. I purchased a long wig and slowly started cutting at it until I had the look and appeal that I wanted. Only to have to do it again at the hotel due to travel damage. Bleh. Regardless, again with the assistance of my friend Ashley the wig was completed and worn right on time. Ashley is the Maka that is featured in one of the photos...though you can't see her face. ^^
