Manga version from Chapter 18. I had a lot of fun making and even more fun wearing this costume. The most challenging part being the top...which after playing with wire, interfacing and fabric I perfected. After that I would say my hat, which thanks to the help of toneriko I was able to finish with few set backs! -Yay- Wire! They eyes are foam that I painted. I went with black for the eye color since in the manga, unlike the anime, the eyes didn't look the same color as her hair. All the stripes were made and then sewn to the various parts. I counted them various times in the reference pictures to make sure I had them lined up correctly and the right amount. I spent a lot of time referring back to references on this costume. I also finished the ends of all the strips since I noticed hers fell below the basic fabric. So, naturally...I had to add it. The feet were made of foam and knit socks...which I sewed teddy bear style. Example art
