I got the idea to cosplay Grenadier after watching the series and falling in love in Rushuna. It's not very often that a main character really attracts me but this time it did. I mean...look at her. She reloads her gun my using the bullets in her breasts. Too awesome! A completely bad ass girl I couldn't resist.
The costume was made out of cotton and poplin. The shirt was modified from one I had. I widened the neck and added the bias around the edges and neck. Wow, sewing on such a curve...wow. The top blue part was hand dyed along with the bottom skirt. The cummerbun was made of the same material as the shirt, which was a polyester cotton mix. The gloves too were made from this material with the attachment on top made and then hot glued into place. I made a strap for it, but unfortunately it kept twisting on me...so the glue locked it in place. The hat was purchased and modified by adding the detailing. The last step were the boots which I painted (OMG, getto...but it worked!) and added the armor detailing to.
