Darth Talon: Star Wars Legacy

A long time ago...in a Blockbuster right down the street a face I hadn't seen in years walked in. After getting to know Will and his wife Kim I became close friends. Upon one of our daily conversations he informed me that I looked like a Twelik, yes a Twi'lek. If you are not familiar with these particular creatures from Star Wars they are usually depicted as tall women with tentacles on their heads. Jabba the Hut had one as a slave. Well, I originally planned to make the costume of the one I "resembled" but things came up and I never got to wear it with him. So, a year later he sent me a picture of this particular Twi'lek and wow...I fell in love. So, this is why I decided to do it. So that I could once again cosplay with Will, as the chance before had fallen through, and I could paint my body. Fun Stuff.
The costume itself was fairly easy. The hardest part actually fell on my friend John, as he had to actually paint my body and face. The head gear took awhile to finish and paint but the hardest part was getting it to stay on my head without a head band. I eventually did so but putting flexible metal rods in the hose. Hurt my head by the end of the night, but it was worth it. I was accompanied by Will as Anakin and Adrian as Darth Maul. I have to say it was a nice change.
